Hi, I'm Ronke Tinker

Ronke Tinker
Our primary aim as Podiatrists, is to improve the mobility, independence and quality of life for our patients. Imagine how amazing that feels!  We can do that for you and your family.

Meet the Team

Ronke Tinker Director & Principal Podiatrist

I’ve been looking after feet in Berkshire for over 18 years, both in the NHS and independent practice. I set up the practice in 2018 to help people like you with their foot problems.

What gives me job satisfaction is being part of the transformational foot care journey of improving your foot health, be it treating painful hard skin and corns to resolving a painful recurrent infected ingrowing toenail, making your feet more comfortable and pain free –  simply being able to help you so you can continue to do the activities you love doing everyday.

Over the years, I’ve developed close links with other health professionals from a multidisciplinary perspective, treating the patient as a whole.

As part of our holistic approach to treatment, we may refer-on or point you in the direction of an appropriate health professional or service, to get the best care and input for further management if, and where required.

My areas of interest are nail surgery, the diabetic foot, wound care, biomechanics and verrucae treatments.

Here’s a little bit about my background in the Podiatry world. I graduated from the University of Salford, Greater Manchester  back in 2003, with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Podiatric Medicine, and started my career in the NHS.

I worked as part of the Podiatry team in a multidisciplinary setting at the Podiatry Department Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, where I developed a passion and keen interest in the Diabetic foot, carrying out multidisciplinary clinics alongside consultants from the Diabetes centre; and also worked on the hospital wards.

I sought further challenges working in the Reading community in the local NHS podiatry clinics, GP practices and at Prospect Park Hospital bringing my much-valued knowledge, skills and expertise to the community team.

I was promoted to Podiatry team leader at King Edward V11 and St Marks Hospitals in East Berkshire in 2016, managing the Podiatry team, an experience I thoroughly enjoyed.

During my time in the NHS, one of the many achievements I am proud of, was leading and developing the Nail surgery care pathway in the Podiatry service Berkshire-wide.

I moved into full-time private practice in 2018, working within a multidisciplinary clinic in Reading to further develop my career in the private sector.

I am a mother to two lovely girls.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, travelling and retail therapy, lots of it!

We look forward to meeting you!
